PASSPORTS
Canada’s passport program issues secure travel documents to Canadians. This helps make travelling easier and contributes to international and domestic security. In most cases, a valid passport is required for travel outside of Canada.

My office is able to send your passport application to the processing centre in Gatineau, Quebec, by registered mail on the first business day of every month. Please call or email ahead of your visit to set up an appointment, and my staff will review the application and any additional information required for the passport.
Typically, the processing time to renew or issue a new passport for adults and children requires about 30 days by mail. It is advisable to submit your application and supporting documents as soon as possible prior to your date of travel.

If, however, you require a passport due to urgent or unforeseen circumstances in less than 30 days, you will need to either complete a service request form [https://eservices.canada.ca/en/service/] to get in touch with a passport agent, or you will need to visit Passport Canada in Kitchener:

Passport Canada - Kitchener

40 Weber St E

Kitchener, ON N2H 2L5

Passports can be completed within 2 business days if dropped in person at the Kitchener processing centre, but an additional fee will be required.

You can also drop off your completed passport application at the local Service Canada in Cambridge:

Service Canada - Cambridge

299 Hespeler Rd.

Cambridge, ON N1R 3H8

Processing times will vary for a drop off at Service Canada, so following the same guidelines as our office drop off program would be recommended.

WHERE CAN I SUBMIT MY PASSPORT APPLICATION?
Due to the confidential nature of private passport information and the need to submit original documentation in some cases, we strongly recommend that all applications and supporting documents be mailed using certified postage (this provides the sender with a receipt and tracking number), or using a courier service to ensure additional security, rather than through the regular mail service.
